Gossip Girl Season 6 comes out on DVD tomorrow, be sure to get a copy! This retrospective, that originally aired back in December on The CW, is on the DVD and you can view the captures in the gallery:
This time next year, we’ll be saying goodbye to our favorite (and not-so-favorite) characters of Gossip Girl as they wrap up this seasons-long chapter of their lives. But for their real-life counterparts, that chapter is already nearly closed as the actors move full steam ahead into a future beyond the designer-clad world of the Upper East Side.
One of the show’s biggest stars, Leighton Meester, has already made a big geographical switch — from New York to Los Angeles — to commit more time to her other passion: music. “It kind of already feels like it’s coming to an end now because I’m basically living in another place and moving on to something else,” says the woman behind the fiery Blair Waldorf in an exclusive interview with Wetpaint Entertainment. That “something else” has led to her first tour (five shows on the west coast, which kicks off May 29) with band and longtime pals Check in the Dark, whom she calls her “musical soul mates.”
We may be nearing the end of our love affair with GG, but if it’s any consolation, Leighton is prepared to give us the sweetest breakup song ever. Read on for more of Wetpaint’s interview with Leighton HERE.
The CW has renewed Gossip Girl for a sixth and final season of 11 episodes, TVLine has learned.
What’s more, showrunner Stephanie Savage — who developed the show with Josh Schwartz — has promoted Co-EP Sara Goodman to exec producer, replacing Smash-bound Josh Safran.
Gossip Girl joins fellow returning CW dramas Supernatural, Hart of Dixie, The Vampire Diaries, 90210 and Nikita.
Move over, William and Kate! There’s a new royal wedding in town, and this one has loads of behind-the-scenes drama and a hotly contested love triangle…no, make that love rhombus, with very pointy edges.
We have the exclusive first-look video of Gossip Girl’s highly anticipated 100th episode, airing this Monday on the CW, in which Blair (Leighton Meester) is set to marry Prince Louis (Hugo Becker).
So will she go through with it? See for yourself…
In our sneak-peek video, you can see that Blair does indeed walk down the aisle to her prince of all online bingo types, even though we all know Louis is about as close to being her soul mate as a bucket of sludge. (Sorry, Prince!)
We also can see that Blair certainly looks all glowy and euphoric as she’s walking arm-in-arm between her father and stepfather. (Also important to point out: Everyone looks ah-maz-ingly gorgeous. Two giant snaps up to Gossip Girl’s wardrobe department!) And what’s this Serena (Blake Lively) is saying about doing something “bad?” Ruh-roh. With Georgina (Michele Trachtenberg) around, that can’t be good.
So what happens next? You’ll have to watch this Monday on the CW to see. But our bet (hope?) is that Blair won’t say “I do.” Maybe she’ll pull a Ross and say the wrong name? Or a Julia Roberts and run for the hills via horseback? Or a Kelly Taylor and choose “me”?
Whatever goes down, and whether Blair ends up with Chuck or Dan or Louis or no one, it’s sure to be an epic episode for fans.
